Approaching the north junction with U.S. 14 at Pelzer Street. Note the direction signage for Wabasha, Rochester, and St. Mary's University. The Goodview water tower is also visible on the right.

Trailblazer signage for the U.S. 14 turnoff towards Rochester. Construction work was completed earlier in 2007 to modernize the intersection. Note the new pavement and center island.

U.S. 14 and U.S. 61 part ways on the west side of Winona after traveling northwest together from the south junction in Readstown Wisconsin. The U.S. 61 sign (right) looks a little lonely without its companion route.

At the Goodview city limits, just past the junction with U.S. 14 at Pelzer Street.

Mileage sign on U.S. 61 in Goodview.

Approaching the junction with County Road 32.

At the junction with County Road 32, U.S. 61's old alignment through Goodview and Winona, bypassed in 1957. The four-lane Winona/Goodview bypass used to merge onto the old two-lane road into Minnesota City just ahead from its completion in 1957. U.S. 61 was finally upgraded to four lanes around Minnesota City to Minneiska in 1978.
