Looking east on 7th Street from Mounds Boulevard. Note the Metro State University skyway.

Looking east at Bates Avenue. Note the old commercial structures on each side of the street, harkening back to the days when 7th was a horsecar, and later a streetcar route.

Looking back to west towards downtown St. Paul from Maple Street.

Looking east at Eichenwald Street.

Looking east at Margaret Street, with the first trailblazer sign indicating the left turn onto Arcade Street ahead.

Looking east on 7th Street at the intersection with Arcade Street, where northbound U.S. 61 makes a hard left turn, just like it has since 1934. This is also the east junction with State Highway 5, which continues east towards Stillwater. This has historically been a trunk highway junction since 1921, when it was the junction of State Highways 1 and 45. U.S. 61 has met the following routes here: State Route 45 (1926-1934), U.S. Highway 212 (1934-1935), and State Highway 212 (1935-1980).

Another view of the intersection, looking south down Arcade Street. Also note the "TO 94" sign on the opposite corner.
