Comments:
- The 1959 map was the first to show the Interstate Highway System. The one completed section of I-35 near Owatonna was shown as a standard divided highway. The rest of the future Interstate System was shown with dotted black lines. A photo of the new interstate was shown on the reverse side.
- City insets and a national highway map were returned to the reverse side of the map after the one year absence in 1958, but in a slightly different arrangement.
