Comments:

  • The 1947 map was virtually identical to the map issued in 1946, both front and back.
  • This map is notable for the Native American depicted on the cover. The back cover bears the following legend: "Minnesota Centennial 1949 - Marking Our Century of Progress from Indian Trails to Modern Highways". The Department of Highways was apparently so anxious for the centennial that they jumped the gun by two years!
